In 2007, DDI was commissioned by the Del Monte Motors Corporation to conceptualize and design a bus body that would be durable and versatile while remaining economically practical to mass produce. The Double Deck Mobile Home was designed and built for the family of businessman Fred Elizalde. The vehicle was christened ‘Hobbit II’, as it was built to go on many a rugged outdoor adventure while providing all the comfort and amenities of home.
