Sky Jeepney

The Sky Jeepney is the culmination of almost 3 decades of DDI’s vehicle design experience, and the first vehicle design project under the MVCB banner. Penafrancia Tours and Travel Transport Inc.

The ruggedness and versatility of the AX-Series bus body was demonstrated once again when it was selected by Penafrancia Tours and Travel Transport. The AX body is mated to a Mercedes-Benz chassis, resulting in a vehicle that is extremely durable and reliable. It continues to service routes up and down some of the country’s toughest roads, and will continue to do so for many years to come.[Read More]

The Fort Bus

Building on the experience and success of the AX Series bus body, DDI was next commissioned to build the coaches for the Fort Bus (now rebranded as the BGC Bus). The rugged and reliable AX Series body was slightly modified and fit over a Mercedes Benz bus chassis. The resulting vehicle with its distinct livery has become an icon to those who live and work in the BGC area, and will continue to be so for many years to come.[Read More]

Florida Bus

In 2007, DDI was commissioned by the Del Monte Motors Corporation to conceptualize and design a bus body that would be durable and versatile while remaining economically practical to mass produce. The layout and design of  what was to become the AX Series bus was crafted with the help of computer aided design (CAD) technology, before being constructed as a scale model and then a full-size body mock-up. Double Deck Mobile Home

The Double Deck Mobile Home was designed and built for the family of businessman Fred Elizalde. The vehicle was christened ‘Hobbit II’, as it was built to go on many a rugged outdoor adventure while providing all the comfort and amenities of home. Nothing like it before or since has been seen on Philippine roads. A true double deck design, the lessons learned on this project would be put to good use in the conceptualization, planning, and construction of the Sky Jeepney.[Read More]
